I love summer reading. People look for “beach reads” but I’ve never been a beach girl and I live in the middle of hills and woods. For me, summer reading is sitting in the grass or under the porch with gentle breezes, birds chirping, and occasionally looking up to find a deer or rabbit or squirrel looking at me curiously.

Is Driftless Spirits a summer read? I think so. Although it’s set in late April, it’s a cozy read with a happy ending.
