I’ve written in the past about critters that come right up to the house:
Last week we had a visit from a juvenile groundhog. I like to think it was the kid of the groundhog we saw earlier this year. We spotted this new young fellow in the rock garden first:

He soon came to the porch and used the folded up patio furniture as a jungle gym:

After that, he swung around the corner and tried to make friends with our cats at a window. I threw the video up on my Facebook page:

The cats let him know he’d crossed a line and he scampered off after that!
In other news, the bird bath which became a deer bucket ended up also becoming a rabbit garden:

The annuals I’d planted around the water bucket in the center are now all gone, nothing but soil remains. This guy still hops up occasionally to check if any new has sprouted and to get a drink.
